British Columbia
Law Enforcement Diversity Network

Mission Statement
To champion diversity within law enforcement communities through the localizing of global issues.

About
The BC Law Enforcement Diversity Network (BCLEDN) is a standing sub-committee
of the BC Association of Chiefs of Police (BCACP). It was first formed in the
Lower Mainland and Victoria by a small group of dedicated police officers
focused on community diversity issues and the education of fellow officers.
Over the years, the Network grew in size and transformed its focus to include
other law enforcement partner agencies (including the Canadian Armed Forces).

The Network meets monthly to address four objectives
  1. Champion diversity issues;
  2. Support members working in the diversity area;
  3. Deliver timely diversity information to municipal law enforcement agencies
    and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police throughout British Columbia; and
  4. Coordinate an annual forum to inform and educate BC law enforcement personnel
    about important and topical diversity issues;
